Navratri Recipe 2022: Easy To Make Pumpkin Recipe For Fasting

It is important to include food that will help you follow all the religious orders while giving your body the nutrition and energy it needs. 1. Pumpkin Pudding

  • Ghee – 4 tsp
  • Pumpkin – 200 grams
  • Whole milk – 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
  • Condensed milk – 300 grams
  • Grated coconut – 1/2 cup
  • Roasted Cashews
  • Roasted Almond Flakes
  • chopped pistachios


1. In a wide vessel, add 3 to 4 spoons of ghee, 200 grams of 1 big pumpkin and fry for 5 minutes.

2. Add 1 cup milk and cook the vegetable with milk till the mixture becomes thick and the milk evaporates.

3. Add 1 teaspoon cardamom powder, 300 grams condensed milk and 1/2 cup freshly grated coconut.

4. Keep the flame medium and keep stirring it till it becomes thick.

5. Mix this mixture with toasted cashew nuts and toasted almond flakes.

6. Now, add 2 tbsp ghee and cook till the mixture turns nice and dry.

7. Pumpkin halwa is ready to be served garnished with some chopped pistachios.

2. Pumpkin Raita

  • Pumpkin (grated or chopped) – 1 cup
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • milk 1/4 cup
  • chopped coriander and green chilies
  • salt to taste
  • chilli powder
  • roasted cumin powder
  • mint to taste
  • Black salt (a pinch)
  • Sugar (1/2 tsp)


1. Heat some water in a pan and add grated pumpkin and cook for about 5 minutes.

2. Then filter all the water and keep aside and put the curd with pumpkin in a mixing bowl and add milk and mix well

3. Now add salt, black salt, cumin powder, mint powder, red chili powder, sugar and mix well.

4. Pumpkin Raita is ready. Serve it as a dip or as a raita with chapati or rice.

  • 1 2/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • equal to 2 eggs
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin or pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)


1. Pre-heat oven to 350F, then add dry ingredients except chocolate chips. I

2. Add the wet ingredients and whisk all together until just blended. I

3. Add chocolate chips and mix well. This will be a thick mixture. I

4. Line the muffin tin with muffin cups and pour the dough into the cups.

5. Bake for 20-25 minutes and enjoy every bite.
