One look on social media is enough to prove your love for fitness. what does it mean to you?
Health It has given me a purpose in life and a place in society – an identity of my own, which I thought was impossible given my background.
You often set fitness goals with your workouts. What is included in your daily routine?
I prefer to start my day with workout Because it sets the tone for the rest of the day. I feel more energized not only for the workout, but for the rest of my day. It really gets me on a positive note. I mix weightlifting and cardio, but to do maintain muscle tone In my body, I keep my cardio slow and steady, so even a 40-minute light walk on the treadmill is enough to start my day and get my blood flow the way I want.
But it is not only you, even your brother Tiger Shroff is a fitness enthusiast. Do you often work out together, and even challenge each other at the gym?
We’ve worked out together several times and even shared the same trainer for a while, so it’s perfect The myth that women can’t do things the same way men do, He’s also someone I look up to, and it’s hard to be with him (that being the superhero).
How would you describe your relationship with Tiger in and out of the gym/fitness?
Tiger and I have always had a special bond. He is my biggest source of support in all aspects of my life, and he is the person I feel safest and most secure, no matter what.
Weightlifting is often believed to enhance a woman’s physique, forcing many to abstain from exercise. According to you, what are some of the biggest fitness myths, especially when it comes to women?
This should be the most important. As stated earlier, a woman and a man can train in the same way and achieve similar results. Because we don’t naturally produce the same amount testosterone in menIt is physically impossible for women to gain the same amount of muscle mass as men (unless they use certain enhancers). The more weight you lift, the more calories you burn, and if your nutrition supports your goals, you gain more lean muscle. Ultimately, muscle takes up less space in your body than fat, making you appear more chiseled overall.
How and when did your fitness journey begin?
My fitness journey started about 6.5 years ago. I was very lazy and lacked direction in my life at that time. That’s when I realized that I needed to do something for myself that would change my life. i was reading a lot negative comments About myself on the Internet, especially about my weight. I decided to roll with it, use it as fuel, and now here we are… allow me to hear it now.
You have also opened up about being body shamed in the past. How did you get over it?
I was very sensitive For this, but only because people can’t handle the truth. It made me feel very insecure. However, I was able to channel all those feelings in the most positive way possible. It has led me to this lifestyle, for which I will be eternally grateful. I want to stress that it is important for people to understand that not everyone will be able to handle that level of poisoning Okay, so if you don’t have anything nice to say then try to avoid saying anything.
Though you have been away from the film industry, have you ever felt the pressure of being Jackie Shroff’s daughter and Tiger’s sister and sometimes even compared? If so, in what ways and how do you deal with such situations?
Absolutely. Yes, we were born with a “silver spoon,” but we’ve succumbed to a lot of pressure because of the legacy we’re expected to retain or surpass. I used to let it come to me a lot. However, I have received so much love and support from so many people who have come to my . also believe in vision and passion – Who has made them appreciate me for who I am and what I do. I truly believe that if your intention is pure, it will always have a long life.
How long have you gone to achieve your weight loss goals – can you discuss in detail, diet, exercise and everything in between?
People think that’s all: your training and nutrition, There are many more sacrifices along the way. When I first started my journey, I couldn’t see my friends for months. I miss out on holidays, birthdays, events etc because it really has to be your lifestyle. My training and nutrition haven’t changed much, but I’ve also realized The importance of rest and recovery So keep doing this for a long time. I make it a point to get 7-9 hours of sleep every night and do physiotherapy at least one or two sessions a week to free up the whole body. This helps me to work harder in my upcoming training sessions.
What does your and Tiger’s cheat mile/day look like? What do you like to do when you take a break from fitness?
Tiger and I are very different when it comes to things. He is an extremist, whereas now I believe in balance. He’ll take one day a week to attend to everything he’s missed. For him, it’s usually anything and everything sweet. He has a major sweet tooth. It’s something I don’t particularly crave—I’m a likeable kind of person, so for me, it’s things like Pizza, Burger, Noodles, e.t.c. Although I won’t limit myself to one day a week—I usually go by my feelings; However, I will make up for it with my workout or nutrition plan for the rest of my day. I’m not even getting paid half of him, although the way he looks, that must definitely be some extra incentive!
One tip you would like to give to someone who is just starting their fitness journey.
It’s important to remember that your journey will be personal to who you are, so don’t be discouraged by the progress of others. Stay focused and do something every single day to be better than yesterday. You should be your only competition.
