The former minister and his close aide in the Mamata Banerjee-led government in West Bengal were arrested by the ED on July 23 this year after conducting a search operation at various premises in connection with the teacher recruitment scam.

The ED had earlier seized cash worth Rs 49.80 crore, and gold and jewelery worth over Rs 5.08 crore, from the two premises during searches conducted earlier in July.

“With the present attachment, the total attachment/seizure in the case is Rs 103.10 crore. Further investigation is on,” the agency said.

Parth has been sent to CBI custody till September 21 at present on the request of the agency for questioning in connection with the school recruitment scam.
