Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday once again mocked Rahul Gandhi, angering the Congress party. On micro-blogging site Twitter, Sarma shared a parody video of Rahul Gandhi. The character, portrayed as a former Congress president, can be seen dancing to the song ‘Rahul Mera Naam, Record Mera Badnaam’.
Rahul Gandhi’s parody character can be heard singing that it is his job to create confusion in the party. Furthermore, in the parody clip, the former Congress president says that he grows potatoes, makes gold and often loses in elections but does not give up.
The parody video character said, “Let me spread the illusion and build my own brand out of that illusion.”
Meanwhile, the video shared by Chief Minister Sarma has drawn heavy criticism of the Congress. He was criticized by many opposition leaders for this.
Earlier, Sarma had ridiculed the Congress party’s ‘Bharat Jodi Yatra’ and termed it as one of the biggest comedies of this century.
He said that our country does not need visits like ‘Bharat Jodo’ because ‘we live in a united India’.
He said, “India was divided only once in 1947 when a new country Pakistan was born and it was Rahul Gandhi’s party Congress that allowed that partition to happen.”
Sarma suggested to the former Congress president that he should visit Pakistan instead and travel there so that people would get an India which was undivided before partition.
