UKSSSC Exam: Dhami Govt orders vigilance inquiry against 6 officials

The Uttarakhand government has ordered a vigilance inquiry against six people, including top officials, in connection with alleged irregularities in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) examinations.

The decision comes at a time when the Uttarakhand Special Task Force (STF) is probing the UKSSSC paper leak case, in which at least 35 people have been arrested so far.

According to government officials, a vigilance inquiry was ordered against former UKSSSC secretary Santosh Badoni, former controller of examinations Narayan Singh Dangi and three section officers of UKSSSC.

ADG Amit Kumar Sinha said, “The investigation of STF is already going on and now a vigilance inquiry has been ordered against the government employees involved in the STF investigation.”

State on Friday cabinet passed resolution To transfer the ongoing recruitment for 7,000 vacancies by UKSSSC to Uttarakhand Public Service Commission.

The paper leak case pertains to a written exam conducted by UKSSSC on December 4 and 5 last year in which around 1.6 lakh candidates appeared and 916 got selected for various departments. After the declaration of results, representatives of student organizations met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and submitted a memorandum alleging irregularities in the conduct of the examination.

After the allegations, Dhami asked the DGP to take strict action against those responsible. FIR This year it was registered on 22nd July. The UKSSSC Secretary was removed from the post and later the matter was handed over to the STF. In the investigation, more than 50 candidates were selected on the basis of paper leak and many other suspects were found.
