New Delhi: An unidentified speeding truck rammed six people sleeping on a road divider in the Seemapuri area of the national capital in the early hours of Wednesday, killing four and injuring others. Two people died on the spot, one was declared brought dead in the hospital and the other died during treatment. The incident took place around 1.51 am when the truck was crossing the Delhi Transport Corporation depot traffic light in Seemapuri.

Police said, “Today around 01.51 am on September 21, an unidentified truck/canter crossing DTC depot redlight was going towards DLF T-point, which was driven carelessly and recklessly, which hit six sleeping persons on the road divider. People were crushed/injured,” the police said. ,
The dead included Karim (52), Chhote Khan (25), Shah Alam (38) and Rahul (45), while the injured included Manish (16) and Pradeep (30). Police said, “Several teams have been formed to trace the vehicle involved. A case has been registered under appropriate sections.” Further investigation in the matter is under process.
