Bangalore

According to the Bangalore Political Action Committee (BPAC) survey report on Bengaluru citizens’ perception, Mahadevapura emerged with the highest level of dissatisfaction with respect to the delivery of civic amenities and services, while Rajarajeshwarinagar was the most satisfied.

The survey report was released on Wednesday to understand the preferences of citizens on civic services and citizens’ perception about the quality of services in Bengaluru city.

“With the term of the BBMP council ending two years ago, and with no elections in sight, a study like this was important given the pain citizens are feeling in terms of various civic services and major reforms that the city should be able to bring to its citizens. There is a need to improve the standard of living of the people,” BPAC said in a statement.

B.PAC questioned residents on awareness and participation of citizens, governance and civic amenities and BBMP elections. During February to May, 2022, 8,405 responses were collected in eight BBMP areas covering 186 BBMP wards out of 198 erstwhile wards through ground and online.

Revathi Ashok, Managing Trustee and CEO, BPAC said: “This survey is a sincere attempt to collect the opinions and perspectives of Bengalis about the hits, misses and gaps of the last five years of the BBMP Council. We intend to pass on this information to the government/being powers so that they can take action and meet the expectations of Bengalis.”
