New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for many states for Monday (September 19, 2022). Even though this year’s monsoon is in its last phase, many parts of the country have been receiving continuous rain for the past few days.
The IMD in its latest weather bulletin said that conditions are becoming favorable for withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from some parts of Northwest India during the next 3 days.
“A fresh round of heavy rain over Odisha, Coastal areas North Andhra Pradesh and Gangetic West Bengal from 19th to 21st and over Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh on 21st and 22nd September, 2022,” the IMD said.
According to the Meteorological Department, conditions are becoming favorable for the withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from some parts of Northwest India during the next 3 days.
IMD has predicted rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh for the next three days.
There is also a possibility of rain in many northeastern states including Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya.
For the national capital, the IMD said that the weather remains pleasant due to the recent rains and light rain and generally cloudy conditions are expected over Delhi and its adjoining areas on Monday.

Isolated heavy rainfall is also likely over Odisha during 19 -21 September, 2022.
– Light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thundershowers very likely over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Telangana during 19 -21 September, 2022.
– Scattered/moderate rain and thundershowers very likely over Uttarakhand and East Uttar Pradesh during next 5 days.
There is also a possibility of isolated hailstorms in Uttarakhand on September 18, 2022.
– Light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thundershowers very likely over Assam and Meghalaya during 18th-21th and over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 18th September, 2022.
