Mumbai: The Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena on Tuesday said dynastic rule would be preferable to the current “autocracy” in the country, as it praised Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodi Yatra’. An editorial in Shiv Sena mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ said the BJP should answer the questions raised by Gandhi instead of targeting his clothes. It said that the questions being raised by Gandhi during his ongoing campaign have merit and he has silenced the BJP.
The Marathi newspaper said that the Congress leader’s visit is getting a good response from the people and he is raising issues related to unemployment, farmers, laborers and small and medium-sized businesses.
Referring to the BJP’s swipe at the cost of T-shirts in the editorial, the editorial said, “Instead of answering the questions asked by him, the BJP uses his clothes and eats to raise issues such as petty attacks.” Taking help.” Rahul Gandhi wore it. The yatra is creating awareness among people and is causing “stomach ache” to the BJP.
“Autocracy and dictatorship are wreaking havoc in the country that a dynastic rule would look better,” said the Sena mouthpiece, once a bitter critic of the Congress and its top leadership.
The statement said Rahul Gandhi’s visit will “fix the atmosphere of hatred” prevailing in the country.
Notably, like the Congress and the Gandhi family, Thackeray has also faced criticism for promoting family rule in the Shiv Sena.
The Shiv Sena and Congress were allies along with the NCP in the previous Maharashtra government led by Uddhav Thackeray.
