The Supreme Court on Thursday said it will consider a petition filed by two students on January 17, 2023, demanding that WhatsApp have a policy of sharing users’ data with the parent company. Facebook And the other is a violation of their privacy and free speech.
A five-judge constitution bench headed by Justice KM Joseph asked the parties to complete the arguments in the matter by December 15.
“We wish to adjourn the matter for final hearing till January 17, 2023,” a bench of Justices Ajay Rastogi, Aniruddha Bose, Hrishikesh Roy and CT Ravikumar said.
