New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi pays obeisance at the samadhi of Sree Narayana Guru at Sivagiri Math in Varkala, Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday (September 14, 2022) morning. The Congress leader resumed the eighth day of the party’s Bharat Jodi Yatra from Navayakkulam in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala this morning.
The Yatra is in its Kerala phase and will pass through the state for the next 17 days.
Earlier on Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and asked why a party that calls itself a representative of Hindus was allegedly creating ‘unrest’ in the country when Hinduism was taught in the country. The first word is ‘Om Shanti’.
“So please tell me how a party which calls itself as representative of Hindus is creating ‘unrest’ in the whole country? Wherever they are going they are destroying harmony, they are attacking people, They are dividing people, abusing them.
“But the essence of all religions is peace, harmony and compassion. All religions teach us to respect each other and that is the spirit of travel, uniting all Indians irrespective of their religion, community, language etc.,” said Gandhi .

The yatra will include padyatras, rallies and public meetings, which will be attended by senior Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
It is worth noting that all the MPs, leaders and workers of the party are living together with Rahul Gandhi. Sleeping beds, toilets and ACs have also been installed in some containers. With the change of location, arrangements have been made keeping in mind the scorching heat and humidity.
