Rucha Mohan Pawashe of Uchgaon village in Belagavi district has secured All India 4 th Rank among neet toppers.
A student of Raja Lakhmagouda Science College in Belagavi, she got 715 marks, which is equal to the first rank.
“The first four candidates got equal marks and a tie-breaker was used to place them in the first four ranks,” explained Smita Pavashe, her mother.
Rucha comes from a family of doctors and feels happy to continue the family tradition.
His father Mohan, mother Smita and his elder brother Prathamesh are doctors. Rucha’s grandfather and great-grandfather have also been doctors.
After higher studies in medicine, she wants to work in a charity hospital. He doesn’t mind tie-breakers. This is a regular process which I feel when many students had scored the same marks. Anyway, we’ll all be going to the same college, she said.
His advice to NEET aspirants is – face the exam with confidence, study the question paper and understand the pattern. Try to understand the concepts instead of rote learning and face the exam without stress. No need to study round the clock. He said that you have to manage your time properly so that you do not waste time. He said that you have to spend quality time with your friends and family as it keeps you healthy.
The charitable work done by the doctors of the Uchagaon Pawashe family is well known. Dr. P.D. Pavashe and his son Dr. Vithal were Ayurvedic physicians. Rucha’s father Mohan and mother Smita are homeopathy doctors. Her brother Prathamesh has just completed MBBS. This was Rucha’s second attempt at NEET. He secured a rank around 500 in his first attempt.
