Dehradun (Uttarakhand): Following the orders of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Vantara resort in Rishikesh owned by Pulkit Arya, son of a BJP leader arrested in connection with the murder of 19-year-old Ankita Bhandari, is being closed. demolished. Along with this, the Chief Minister has also ordered to ensure that necessary action is taken against the resorts operating illegally.


Dhami said that harshest punishment would be given for such crimes. “It is unfortunate. Police is working, they have done their job to make arrests. Such heinous crimes will be punished severely, whoever the culprit is,” he said. Three people, including resort owner Pulkit Arya, were arrested on Friday in connection with the alleged murder of Ankita Bhandari, who went missing about six days ago. Women surrounded the police vehicle carrying the accused in the Ankita Bhandari murder case. The 19-year-old receptionist had gone missing a few days back and her body was found on September 23. The young receptionist used to work at the resort. Police said the accused confessed to pushing her into the canal after the altercation and she drowned.


Uttarakhand Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Kumar told ANI that the owner of the resort Pulkit Arya has been arrested along with two more accused in the case. Pulkit Arya is the son of former Uttarakhand minister and BJP leader Vinod Arya. Uttarakhand Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Kumar told ANI, “The girl went missing five-six days ago. The area of ​​the resort did not come under the regular police station area. There is a Patwari police system and an FIR has been registered. was registered under the same on behalf of the resort owner.”

“The DM handed over the matter to Laxman Jhula police, who resolved the matter within 24 hours. The resort owner turned out to be the accused. Three accused, including the resort owner Pulkit, have been arrested,” he said.
