‘You Are Not Cheetah…’ Delhi Traffic Police Creates Awareness For Overspeeding With A TWIST, Netizens Respond

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released eight African cheetahs at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh yesterday on 17 September. As part of a first-of-its-kind intercontinental mission, a specially adapted Boeing 747-400 jumbo aircraft landed in Namibia to bring back Namibian cheetahs to Indian territory after more than 70 years of extinction. As Delhi Traffic Police is on roll with its memes to promote road safety through its social media campaign, this time also Delhi Traffic Police has left no stone unturned. To spread awareness about overspeeding and its consequences, Delhi Traffic Police took to Twitter but with a twist.

Delhi Traffic Police tweeted a short video of a cheetah running at its best speed, which read, ‘The only speed we admire is that of a cheetah If you overspeed then welcome to our police station Maybe’ read the text on the video. “Remember, you’re not a cheetah!” Read the caption of the tweet. Netizens soon took over the comment sections with positive and humorous comments.

Delhi Traffic Police is trying to do everything in its power to reduce road accidents in the country, on 14th September Delhi Traffic Police has launched a campaign to intensify road safety awareness in the national capital. As a move to motivate people to wear rear seat belts, Delhi Traffic Police challaned a total of 17 people and imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on the first day of the special drive.

The traffic police conducted checks at Barakhamba Road near Connaught Place in central Delhi to ensure compliance. The campaign comes after former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry (54) died in a road accident in Maharashtra’s Palghar district on September 4. According to the police, the miscreant sitting behind was not wearing a seatbelt.
