World Car Free Day 2022: ‘World Car Free Day’ is observed on 22 September, where motorists look for alternative options to reduce carbon emissions by leaving four wheelers. Therefore, today, the UK has closed major roads for vehicular movement. Cars or four wheelers are seen as the most comfortable mode of transport, but this not only increases pollution to many levels but also gives rise to serious car accidents. World Car Free Day promotes cycling, walking, the use of public transport and other forms of commuting where there are either minimal or no carbon emissions. With this initiative people also ensure that the city is pollution free and noise free. The day ahead sees congested, clean streets with very few roads ahead, one people replacing the traffic jams with fun activities on the road.
