Motherhood Hospitals acquires Femint Hospital in Bengaluru

Asia Healthcare Holdings (AHH), which owns Motherhood Hospitals, a chain of hospitals dedicated to women and children, acquired Bengaluru-based Femint Hospitals on September 21.

Femint Hospital, located in Whitefield, offers women’s and childcare services in addition to pediatric surgery, from outpatient care in gynecology, pediatrics and IVF pediatric care to comprehensive inpatient care in obstetrics, birthing, gynecological surgery, fertility and IVF care provides.

From 2016, Motherhood Hospitals had invested ₹200 crore to strengthen its presence in Bengaluru, and was planning to make an additional investment of ₹50 crore.

With this acquisition, Motherhood Hospitals will have a network of seven hospitals and two outpatient facilities in Bengaluru. The company has established a chain of 18 hospitals across 8 cities in India, following the AHH investment in 2016. It also has a network of 200 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) beds.
