India is all set to celebrate Navratri and Durga Puja with full gusto from September 26 after a two-year halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During this period, people will travel all over India to celebrate these festivals with their loved ones. So, keeping this in mind, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will not only run special trains but will also offer ‘Vrat Thali’ for passengers on fasting. During Navratri 2022, passengers will be given food without onion-garlic during the journey. To avail this offer, passengers will have to place an order by calling 1323. IRCTC will provide this facility at 400 stations.

Price of fasting plate:
The starting price of IRCTC food menu starts from Rs.99. Passengers are requested that special Navratri food will be available only in IRCTC trains which offer e-catering facility.
Menu of Vrat Thali:
The starters menu includes Aloo Chaap and Sabudana Tikki. Main courses include Paneer Makhmali with Sabudana Khichdi and Paratha. Other food items like kofta curry, and sabudana khichdi Navratri thali are also available.

Step 1: ‘Select Outlet’, passengers will have to enter the PNR number and search for restaurants nearby for the journey.
Step 2: Click on ‘Complete Order’. Here you can choose your food and schedule an order while paying online or choosing the cash-on-delivery option.
