New Delhi: Gold on Monday fell by Rs 303 to Rs 49,571 per 10 grams in the national capital amid weak global cues and a firming rupee.
In the previous trade, gold had closed at Rs 49,874 per 10 grams.
Silver also declined by Rs 197 to Rs 57,090 per kg from Rs 57,287 per kg in the previous trade.
The rupee appreciated by 14 paise to 79.64 against the US dollar in early trade on Monday and the US currency retreated from its higher levels.
In the international market, gold was trading at $1,662 an ounce, while silver was flat at $19.28 an ounce.
